Esoq is an online marketplace operated by Esoq W.L.L.. We follow Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 30 of 2018).

2What we collect

• Account and contact details: your name, email address, phone number and password.
• Order and delivery details: what you order, your delivery addresses, the payment and delivery method you choose, and any notes you add. Card details are entered with our payment provider and are not stored by us.
• Device and usage data: your IP address, browser type, and the pages, products and searches you view.
• Cookies and similar technologies, as described below.
• Messages you send us.

3Why we use it

• To run your account and process your orders, delivery and payment.
• To give support and keep the site secure.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To show you relevant advertising.
• To meet our legal obligations.

4Who receives it

• The vendors you buy from, who receive what they need to prepare and deliver your order.
• Delivery and payment providers.
• Advertising and analytics partners, who may receive information about how you use the site and about your orders, some of it in protected or pseudonymised form. This includes tools that vendors set up on their own shop pages.
• Map and location services, used when you search for or pick an address.
• Public authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these recipients may process data outside Bahrain.

5Cookies and your choices

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, measure how the site is used and show relevant advertising. Measurement and advertising tools may run when you use the site.

You can refuse or withdraw at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. The tools then stop and their cookies are removed from your browser. In our mobile apps, purchase information is sent to advertising and analytics partners only if you agreed inside the app.

6How long we keep it

We keep personal data for as long as needed for these purposes and as required by law.

7Your rights

Under Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Law you have the right to access your personal data, ask us to correct, delete or block it, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. To use these rights, email info@esoq.com from the address registered on your account. We may ask you to confirm who you are. You can also complain to the data protection authority in Bahrain.
